Dreaming of Knitting

I can't believe I have not posted in so long. Where is my time going. I also have not been able to enjoy reading wits blogs. This is greatly upsetting to me. Part of my regular routine has been interrupted, by work and painting. I swear, there is only two more weeks until my painting class is over and I just can't wait. I love to paint, don't get me wrong. But I don't like to sacrifice all of my precious knitting time to do it. Above is my recently painted self portrait. It is terrifying. I look a little bit like an alien from Star Wars. Which I guess I am ok with. On to knitting, all I want to do is run over to my LYS and pick up Mason Dixon Knitting. I hope I get to this weekend. I have just seen so many cute bibs from there. I also need to pick up some more Sugar and Cream so I can finish my Saturday Market Bag. It is just sitting around my house looking sad and limp. Ahhhh, another problem is all the over time I have to work right now. My co-worker just went on Maternity leave and you guessed it I am filling in. I have so many deadlines I need to meet by next week. I am just going crazy, I will be so happy when my quiet life returns. All the best, I hope to post something more interesting soon.

Self portraits are fun! It's interesting to see how people paint and draw themselves.

I love self portraits, although I've never done one before. I really like how yours turned out! I don't think you look alienesque (can that be a word?) at all.

Beware the bibs, they are addicting!

I don't think you look like an alien! It's cool.

Heh, I wonder where you're getting that itch to do bibs from... ;)

Nice work - you've already picked up on a few shading techniques that will bring you far if you continue painting :) Did you work from a picture or a mirror? Working from a mirror can sometimes cause a strange look in the eyes because your gaze will change as you look from one eye to the other!
