99 Random Thoughts About ME

Here are 99 Random Thoughts About ME. Also a little picture from my wedding. Since this list made me think about it!

1. I have been knitting for about 3 years.
2. I made mittens only for the first two.
3. My sister taught me how to knit. However, my Grandmother likes to take credit.
4. I can no longer drink my beloved coffee. However, I still love it very much.
5. I have had terrible eyesight since I was 15.
6. I thought I wanted glasses before I actually had to have them.
7. I lost my glasses once on a ferry to Greece, it was a disaster.
8. I have been riding motorcycle for 4 years.
9. I know how to drive a stick shift.
10. I have been married since October 2005.
11. My husband and I had been dating for six years before we got married.
12. I have lived in Minneapolis for nine years. I lived in Duluth before.
13. My neighborhood in NE Minneapolis just became an Arts District.
14. There is either a church or a bar on nearly every corner in my neighborhood.
15. I have two cats named Scab and Bacon. They named themselves.
16. I am often jealous of my cats. I just want to fall asleep in the sun.
17. I speak Polish, and a little Spanish.
18. I lie and tell people that I am 100% Polish, when I am only 25%.
19. I play the accordion, piano and have been trying to learn the banjo.
20. I have always lived with a minimum of two animals, at most 10.
21. I never get asked for my ID. A gift when I was young, not so much anymore.
22. I received my BA in English, with a minor in Media Studies.
23. I don’t want to go back for my graduate degree, but it may happen.
24. I have always wanted to own a breakfast restaurant. I would name it the Milk Bar. – no connection to Clockwork Orange.
25. I listen to all sorts of music.
26. The last concert I went to was Neko Case. The first concert I went to was the B-52’s. I fell asleep at the show.
27. I own an embarrassing amount of music.
28. I love to travel. Hopefully the next trip will be to South America.
29. I have been to 10 countries.
30. I am always paranoid someone is going to get hurt or die while I am away.
31. I also love to return home.
32. People always think I am shy at first, or mean.
33. My mother made most of my clothing when I was a child.
34. She made my wedding dress.
35. I did not own a pair of my own jeans until I was 15.
36. I am mostly knees and elbows.
37. I love to fish.
38. The largest fish I ever caught was 4 lbs, it was a Northern.
39. I have four tattoos. One is very large, it was kind of an accident.
40. I forgot one, I have five.
41. I love to eat candy. Dark chocolate is my favorite.
42. I will often substitute a bottle of wine, a loaf of bread and some cheese for dinner.
43. I love to read, but never make enough time for it.
44. Before I die, I would like to write a Science Fiction novel.
45. I know how to pick locks, but I am very slow at it.
46. I have twice before mistaken myself for a plumber, much to the dissatisfaction of my husband.
47. I love to watch movies. Lately, I have been in a serious western phase.
48. Once Upon a Time in the West is my Favorite.
49. One of my other favorite movies is Ghostbusters.
50. I think it would be funny to write country music about Star Wars.
51. I enjoy modern art, opposed to classical art.
52. While I enjoy expensive wine, I also love Pabst Blue Ribbon.
53. If I would have been born a boy my name would have been Marty.
54. I have never been arrested, but I have run from the police.
55. I change my hair color and cut at least three times a year.
56. I have a green thumb, but no where to use it.
57. I hope to own a house someday soon.
58. I had a cone head when I was born.
59. I was scared of ET when I was young. I still have not watched to whole film.
60. I believe in ghosts.
61. I also love scary movies and haunted houses. After which I will have nightmares about for weeks.
62. I always remember my dreams. One of my favorites involved Abraham Lincoln.
63. I love to tell bad jokes. i.e. – What did the cat have when it swallowed a whole ball of wool? Mittens.
64. I have never broken a bone. However, I knocked out three teeth skateboarding.
65. I rarely skateboard anymore, but miss it everyday.
66. I love the Minnesota State Fair.
67. I helped my sister spay my cats. She is a vet.
68. I also helped her autopsy a cow once. That was not very much fun.
69. I rarely eat meat and prefer a vegetarian diet.
70. I have never been hunting, nor do I ever want to go.
71. I am a dead eye with a pellet gun.
72. I favorite flower is Lilly of the Valley.
73. I can change my own oil and brakes. I always keep maintenance reference book handy, just in case.
74. The only allergy I am aware of is lard. Not a bad thing, unless I am at the State Fair.
75. I make excellent pie. My other specialty is vegan tater-tot hot dish.
76. I hate shopping, but love spending money. The internet is a very dangerous place for me to explore.
77. I write with my left hand, and use scissors with my right.
78. I can shoot a basketball with either my right or left hand.
79. I am pretty good at basketball. I won a trophy in the eighth grade. I stopped playing a team when I was 15.
80. I started smoking when I was 15, a habit I have since given up.
81. My favorite time of the year is fall. It just never lasts long enough.
82. I often eat food after it has expired. If it smells okay, I will eat it.
83. I usually read more than one book at once.
84. I love to explore and usually know more than one way to get somewhere.
85. If someone offers me directions. I just let them versus telling them I know how to get there.
86. I am afraid of heights, but I don’t mind flying in small airplanes. Just keep me away from the step stool.
87. I am usually right on time or a little early.
88. I eat a banana every day.
89. I am very good at remembering details.
90. I hate bugs, but I am trying to make myself get over it by picking them up.
91. I really hate fruit flies.
92. I irregularly attend a meditation group and find I enjoy being surrounded by Buddhists.
93. My parents are still married.
94. I drive slowly and I am hyper conscious of traffic. I think this is because I drove a Geo Metro for many years.
95. My style is best described as unpredictable. You just never know what you are going to get.
96. One day I hope to own a hot air balloon.
97. I often feel like my thoughts are very random.
98. I never finish a whole meal. I always leave one bite behind.
99. I love to go Skinny Dipping. This is one of the reasons I ran from the cops.
