So distracted!
Surprise, Surprise, I have not been knitting at all. I have been so bad lately. I can't help it, I am distracted by everything lately. This weekend I had fully intended to work on the Somewhat Cowl. Ha, instead I decided to change my hair color and hang with the in-laws. I am now a blond, and I am not really having more fun. I do like the hair color but it certainly was a shock compared to the red I had been sporting. Not to mention my hair feels like straw and I spent more money than I intended. I am such a sucker for fancy shampoo.

Back, to knitting. So I am trying to get myself to work on the Somewhat Cowl, but my heart is just not in to it. Actually, I am having a lot of problems with keeping my tension consistent. I keep ending up of goofy stretches and pulls in the fabric. May I will post how I typically hold the yarn and then maybe I will get some pointers.
Regardless, I am starting a new project tonight. I am going to make the Odessa hat from Grumperina. While visiting my in-laws, we found out our friend Steph is not doing so hot. About a year ago she was diagnosed with cervical cancer and she is now undergoing another round of chemo/radiation. She is just starting to loss her hair. So I thought I would make her a hat. I am also going to send her a knitting care package, as she has learned to knit during this ordeal. She like to refer to her bald spot as a solar panel for her sex machine. I guess you have to know her to get how funny this actually is.
Hopefully I will crank out the hat. If I need to make something, I usually do it fast. I just fear I will be distracted by this.
That is right the motorcycle I want to buy. However, all of the used Buells I have seen are selling faster than I can buy them. I may have to ride the 1974 Honda CB 360 a little longer. While I love my old bike, I would also love to upgrade.

You are braver than I. I learned to ride Summer 2004, rode for 1.5 (MN) years and then decided I couldn't take it any more. I'm not sure what happened. I enjoyed myself alot the first sommer, and then part way through the second, I realized I wasn't having fun anymore. So my husband traded in his old motorcycle and my hardly riden motorcycle on a brand new motorcycle for him this spring. But I'm keeping my endorsement so that if I ever change my mind, I don't have to go through that test again.
Thanks for the comment! Hubby would be jealous; he wants his own airplane more than you want that motorcycle! :-) If you ever do go with her, let me know; I won't be the only knitter on the flightline!
Oooo, I've looked at Buells too.
What a nice gift for your friend, best wishes to her.
The hat is so beautiful.
Get a Harley baby! They're the bestest.
