Two Wet Soakers

Well I need to knit two dry soakers actually. That will be my weekend projects. They look simple enough to knit up in a weekend, here's hoping. I actually need to pose a question to all those out there who may be familiar with the soaker. I have heard that your need to lanolize the soaker before use, however - Isn't there enough lanoline in the wool already? Do you only need to lanolize the soaker after a few washes? My impression is that you only need to lanolize after a few washes. If anyone knows, please let me know. Also, I will apologize for my absences blogging this week. For everyone that uses blogger, will know it was not working yesterday. So frustrating. If it wasn't free I would certainly complain.

Blogger can be totally annoying, can't it?
I don't know a thing about soakers, alas.
But blogger - grrr!!!
Here's the instructions for how to lanolize:

The lanoline is not cheap. Find it near the breastfeeding supplies. You don't need much, so it will last a very long time.
They turned out so cute! I need to make some more pairs.
Those look like such a great project! Don't know much about lanolizing - will be checking out that link! Possible sheep flock in my future, and definitely kids - so this is a great topic.
