Misfits Sweater

Well I was in Duluth visiting my side of the family this weekend. We had a great time and I even got in some knitting time while at a hockey game. We went to the University of Minnesota versus U of Madison game, what good fun. I had not been to a hockey game since I was a child. Not to mention you can really crank out the stitches in between the periods.
Anyways, I started working on the Misfit's sweater for my husband and so far so good. I created the graph for the pattern a few days ago. I made a spreadsheet and formatted the size of the cells to the same proportion as my yarn gauge. Then I found a picture of the Crimson Ghost's skull and used photoshop to make it the size I needed. After I re-formatted the size of the picture and changed the picture to 6 pixels per inch. This all went surprisingly smooth. Since I did not have a light box I taped the picture of the skull onto a sunny window and then taped the graph paper over it. I then penciled it in where the black should be. It looked pretty good, so I can't wait to actually knit it. I am currently working on the back piece, but I should be done with that in a day or two.

After this weekend I am not sure what has gotten into me, I just have not felt like doing anything. Maybe it is just a Monday thing. I hope so, not only do I want to work on Kev's sweater this evening I also need to work on some of my writing projects. What to do? I always feel kind of sad when I have to return to the dirty old city. It is just so hard to leave the fresh air of the North Land.
